PET packaging sheets are high-transparent and high-strength plastic sheets made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET). They are widely used in food, medicine, electronics and daily necessities packaging fields.
PET sheet materials possess the following core advantages:
High transparency and luster: The light transmittance can reach over 90%, enabling clear display of the internal items and enhancing the attractiveness of product display.
Excellent mechanical properties: The impact strength is 3 to 5 times that of ordinary films, with good tensile strength and resistance to tearing or damage.
Good barrier properties: It has strong barrier capabilities against water vapor, gases and odors, effectively extending the shelf life of food.
Wide temperature range: It can be used stably in the temperature range of -70°C to 120°C, suitable for freezing, normal temperature and short-term heating scenarios.
High food safety level: Non-toxic and odorless, it complies with food direct contact standards, and can be safely used for pastry boxes, fresh food trays, etc.
Environmentally friendly and recyclable: PET materials can be 100% recycled and regenerated through physical or chemical methods to be transformed into new products such as fibers and sheets.
Depending on different application scenarios, common types of PET sheet materials include:
Food-grade PET sheet: Used for baking pastry boxes, frozen food trays, fresh food packaging, etc., with a thickness usually ranging from 0.2 to 1.5 mm, balancing rigidity and cost.
High barrier PET sheet: With aluminum coating or coating added to enhance the barrier properties against oxygen and ultraviolet rays, suitable for packaging of easily oxidized foods.
Biodegradable modified PET sheet: Such as the CPET + biodegradable masterbatch formula, it can achieve controlled degradation in landfill, soil or seawater environments, responding to the trend of green packaging.
In addition, PET sheet can be processed into complex structures through the vacuum thermoforming process, such as multi-compartment separators, trays with ventilation holes, etc., meeting the requirements of automated packaging lines. During the production process, all scraps can be fully recycled and reused to achieve a closed-loop production, reducing resource waste.
